I'm 24, a recent university graduate, and an independent researcher - intensely interested right now in continental modernism and the American avant-garde. But I like movies too! I casually blog at Tripticks.

There's so much second-guessing inherent to making one of these lists. You finish, or so you think, and then end up looking at your list and thinking "no Akerman, Hsiao-Hsien, Rollin, Tscherkassky, Buttgereit, Deren, Yoshida, Rohmer, Rivette, Bunuel, May, or Frank Perry?"...and I suppose I could go on listing personal favorites that don't show here. So take this as nothing more than a snapshot of current fixations.
